The Subaru Hybrid Tourer Concept will be at the Tokyo Motor Show
The Subaru Hybrid Tourer Concept has the usual flights of fancy, like double-length gullwing doors and a motorised dash that moves up and down to give thr driver the best view ahead. But if you ignore the obvious concept bits, the Tourer looks very close to a new Subaru model. Powered by a 2.0 litre turbo-charged Boxer engine, the Hybrid Tourer also gets a pair of electric motors and a CVT ‘box (shame on the CVT.
Bentley Continental GT V8 - UK prices
Today sees the public debut of the Bentley Continental GT V8 ( and GTC V8) at Detroit, and the reveal of UK prices - £123,850 for the GT V8 & £136,250 for the GTC V8. We got the reveal of the new Bentley Continental GT V8 – and the Continental GTC V8 – last month, ahead of its public unveiling at the Detroit Motor Show today. We also got the leak of some German prices for the Continental GT V8 just after Christmas, which we reckoned meant the UK GT V8 would start around £115k.
The BMW 1 Series Coupe & Convertible get a 2011 Facelift
To be entirely accurate, the 2011 BMW 1 Series Facelift isn’t across the board – at least not yet. What we are getting – at the Detroit Motor Show next month – is a modest refresh to the cosmetics on the BMW 1 Series Coupe and BMW 1 Series Convertible plus a bit of an oily tweak. On the cosmetic front the 2011 1 Series gets some new light front and back – headlight tweaks, L-shaped tail lights and LEDs front and back – and a new splitter that BMW says creates an air curtain to improve CO2 and reduce drag.
